Support organisation

Healthcare policy in the Federal Republic of Germany has been characterised by rigid austerity measures in recent years. The effects of this policy have also left their mark on St. Martinus Hospital. Necessary investments in medical equipment and urgently required construction measures cannot be financed by the hospital's own funds.

Against this background, a number of Langenfeld citizens founded the Association for the Promotion of St. Martinus Hospital on 10 February 1998. First and foremost Langenfeld's mayor at the time, Magnus Staehler: "St. Martinus Hospital does outstanding work for the people of Langenfeld. It needs our active support to ensure that this remains the case in the future."

The aim of the Friends' Association is to support St Martinus Hospital through private initiatives, both financially and in terms of ideas. Both private individuals and companies who wish to support St. Martinus Hospital can become members of the association. The annual membership fee is 35.00 euros.

Donations are also possible and welcome. They can be earmarked for the hospital in general or for a specific department or project. The association is recognised as a non-profit organisation.

The contribution and the donation are therefore tax-deductible.
